May 14, 2013: Computer Workshops-Word 2007 II Class introduces the basic tools and concepts of world processing, using Microsoft Word 2007: simple text formatting, cut and paste, pag setup. saving and more. Requires Introducing the Computer or equivalent skills. Located at East Tennessee History Center at 5:30 P.M. Call (865) 215-8700 to register.

May 16, 2013: Computer Workshops- Introducing the Computer Classes 
provide the information and skills required for other workshops: computer terminology, the Windows environment, mouse/keyboard familiarity, working with files and folders. Location: Burlington Branch Library at 5:30 P.M. Call 525-5431 to register.

May 22, 2013: Computer Workshops- Introducing the Computer Classes provide the information and skills required for other workshops: computer terminology, the Windows environment, mouse/keyboard familiarity, working with files and folders. Location: East Tennessee History Center at 5:30 P.M. Call 215-8809 to register.

May 28, 2013: Computer Workshops - Excel: 
Learn to make simple spreadsheets and use features such as AutoSum, functions, and charting. Requires "Word 2007 Basics" or equivalent skills.  The class is located at East Tennessee History Center, at 5:30 P.M. Call 215- 8700 to register. 

May 30-31, 2013: The 11th Annual Tennessee Disability MegaConference: Nashville Airport Marriott. This is Tennessee's largest disability-specific conference for individuals with disabilities, families and professionals. Our 2013 theme is "Deep Roots, Broad Branches and Strong Wings." Limited stipends available to people with disabilities and their families on a first come, first serve basis. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! Go to:

May 15, 2013 Books Sandwiched In: The Death and Life of the American School System: If you're deeply passionate about public education, then you have a lot in common with Dr. Nissa Dahlin-Brown, our May speaker, and Diane Ravitch, the author of The Death and Life of the American School Systemwhich will be Dr. Dahlin-Brown's focus in this Books Sandwiched In program. Dr. Dahlin-Brown is the associate director of UT's Howard Baker Center. This event will be located at the East Tennessee History Center at 12:00 p.m.  Click HERE for more information.

 Living Stone Fellowship Single Mothers Ministry presents "The Well: A Place of Refreshment for Single Moms."  On the second Friday of every month, You’ll enjoy a time of fellowship, encouragement and a great meal (that you didn’t have to make!) while your kids have dinner and a fun time of their own!
